ROV conversions

With modern day challenges like sustainability in mind, converting an existing ROV system to fit new project requirements can be much more appealing than buying a brand new ROV system.

Telemetry conversions

A fibre optic telemetry system is superior to its copper equivalent in many ways.

Fibre optic telemetry systems can support a high grade of redundancy. Their high bandwidth makes them ideal for applications like multi beam echo sounders and UHD video feeds. At soaked technologies we can remove all copper telemetry lines by tunnelling them over the fibre system. This approach has many benefits like a thinner tether and faster re-termination times.

Native power conversions

A proven way to transport more power from topside to subsea is to increase the supply voltage. At Soaked Technologies we do this by modifying the power users (I.E. thrusters) to accept this higher voltage instead of using big DC-DC converters. We call this a native power conversion. The benefits of this approach are less components and a lighter more agile ROV.

Control system conversions

Subsea sensor and navigation technologies are continually evolving. We can modify your ROV control system to accommodate the latest sensors and navigational equipment. We can provide you with anything form simple data format converters to a complete redesigned control system and user interface.
